My name
is Anjanette Parker
Into my second decade as a senior real estate consultant.
I’ve worked in the inner northern area for many years
now, winning top awards in my industry. I’m also a qualified
accountant, ex Advertising Agency principal and a very proud mum
of 2 young adults (pictured below)

I was fortunate
in acquiring such an unusual assortment of skills.
Blessed with a flair for design and decorating I’d built up
my own advertising agency in Sydney, until it was a ‘hot creative
shop’ employing 23 people.
But the arrival
of a young family brought the customary sea change. And with freshly-minted
accountancy qualifications, I was able to work from home.
When it was
finally time to relinquish a flourishing accounting practice for
a change of “doing real estate better”, I found I’d
amassed an unusual composite of strengths.
Marketing
and money management, creativity and caring.
It’s an extraordinary skills base. But it’s proven so
valuable in building the supportive relationships that now help
my clients attain their highest expectations.
When it comes to buying your home it’s important to know who
you are dealing with…
“When I came to Brisbane, buying a
home was such a trying experience…and I was treated so shabbily…I
knew I could do better myself.”
And I have!
In my years as a real estate agent, I’ve taken
great care to give to all clients the unstinting care and attention
I wish I’d received. And “going the extra mile”
in every instance hasn’t held me back.
In fact I’ve achieved some of Queensland’s
highest industry awards.
That’s very gratifying. It shows that my initial instincts
for change were right and timely. More importantly, it reveals that
even in the most competitive commercial environment, you can win
by operating in a caring, considerate and empathetic way.
Matching home buyers to home sellers is a profoundly
private business
which often demands large investments of tact, straightforward advice,
sensitivity, compassion and honest appraisal.
So,
to me it’s very significant that ninety five percent (95%)
of all my work comes through repeat business or referrals from contented
clients. It’s also a great pleasure that I have so many longstanding
friendships with people who come to me initially as clients.
“I hope I’m a good friend to my clients.
But I’m also a business woman constantly probing methods of
making my service truly great.”
I came to real estate determined not only to do
the very best I could but also to improve on what had gone before.
And, purely by chance, my timing was superb.
The real estate industry has changed radically in
recent years in both its values and operations. At last, professionalism
has become mandatory; levels of service have risen noticeably and
clients are now being treated with the respect they deserve.
But still it’s no time for sitting on laurels.
Ethics are still wanting in some areas.
Entrenched and brash routines need to be swept away.
And fresh, new ways found to make every client feel valued, special
and cared for.
In everything
I do, personally, professionally and technologically, I’m
continually upgrading and redefining my skills and the ways they’re
used. Only that way, can I be sure that I can always service the
best interests of my clients.

"My
family's my life. So, being
in a job where I can help other
people - other families - to be
happy and reach their dreams
is heaven for me"
| Fortunately,
I genuinely like people and I care about
what happens in their lives. When you
know what makes different people tick,
it's so much easier to make good matches
between buyers and sellers.
I'm
lucky too that nurturing comes naturally.
A 'mother hen' from way back, I get
a personal high out of caring for my
clients. Smoothing the way, buffering
stress and supporting them through the
whole buy-sell-move process. It's rewarding
to be able to make someone feel really
special.
Property
is big business these days.
And in some circles, it's turned into
a very tough game.
Not all real estate agents see sensitivity
as an ingredient for success.
But
when you're dealing with people's homes,
lives, families and stress levels, then,
I believe there's a great need for kindness
compassion and understanding.
My
clients tell me it's that approach that
makes me so unusual in my profession.
